Long Thanh Golf Course (Lakes)
The Long Thanh Golf Club offers 36 holes of golf in the former rice paddies and scenic countryside surrounding Saigon. The Ho Chi Minh City golf course is located 30 kilometers north of the city on a hilly with unobstructed views back towards the Vietnamese capital. Both the Hill and Lake course are well maintained throughout the year and the golf courses are a longtime favorite among locals. Many expatriates and Vietnam golf visitors prefer Long Thanh Golf Club over its more famous neighbor Vietnam Golf & Country Club.
Twin Doves Country Club
Twin Doves offers a 27-hole international standard championship members golf course. Located around 1 hour outside Saigon, the Twin Doves woodland and lake styled course is broken into 3 nines named Luna, Mare, and Sole. With the views of the rural Vietnam scenery the Luna Course is characterised by many small hills and neighboring forests. This course has combined all the natural shapes of the land which are utilised as challenging hazards. Five of the holes are connected by rolling hills and the rest are separated by tree-lined fairways.
Phokeethra Country Club
The Sofitel-managed Phokeethra Country Club, Angkor Wat, adds to the world class golf now available in Cambodia. The golf course hosted the 2009 Johnnie Walker Classic and 2010 Cambodian Open. The location is perfect for Cambodia golf visitors as it is half way from the airport to town and reflects much having to do with Cambodian culture and history. For example between the 9th green and 10th tee is a restored ‘Roluh’ bridge, which is also the iconic image used in the course’s logo, dating back to the 11th century Khmer empire. A combination of Paspalum grasses are used on both fairways and greens, which gives the golf course its deep green color and insures a high standard of course conditions all year round. The 7,145-yard, 18-hole course reflects Phokeethra Country Club’s dedication to creating an exclusive golfing experience.
Angkor Golf Resort
The world class Faldo designed Angkor Golf Resort is the best golf course in Cambodia. The six-time major winner Nick Faldo himself, received a blessing from local monks and then opened the golf course in December 2007, his first golf course in Cambodia. The Angkor Golf Resort brings Cambodia squarely onto international golf destination map. Tees, fairways, and greens are all maintained as what you would expect from a Faldo designed and IMG managed golf course. The latest Paspalum turf insures excellent year-round playing conditions.
