DAY 1 ; CALGARY

From the moment you arrive in Calgary you’ll be struck by the opulence and true Canadian hospitality your nostalgic hotel, the Fairmont Palliser, has to offer. Located right in the heart of downtown, it’s the perfect place to discover Calgary – Canada’s most dynamic city. Relax and refresh before we meet in the morning.

Hotel: The Fairmont Palliser Hotel, Calgary

DAY 2 ; CALGARY

Enjoy a gourmet brunch where you’ll have the chance to get to know your fellow travellers. Your Go Golfing tour host will provide a tour update and explain our unique Go Golfing scoring system.

What better way to prepare for your first round of golf than with an exclusive clinic with Canada’s 7-time Long Drive Champion? Lisa ‘Longball’ will share her secret to hit the ball longer before you tee off at Heritage Pointe Golf Club. Nestled along the crest of Pine Valley Creek, this course is beautifully scenic. This is the moment when you finally realise you’ve arrived in the Canadian Rockies, Canada’s outdoor wonderland.

This evening, the city is yours to discover.

Hotel: The Fairmont Palliser Hotel, Calgary (B)

DAY 3 ; BANFF

This morning, we farewell Calgary as we travel along the scenic drive to Banff taking in the breathtaking Victoria Glacier and Lake Minnewanka along the way. We’ll continue along this stunning highway making our way into Lake Louise. Make sure you bring your camera today – this is postcard perfect!

A treat for all will be our stay at the famous Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, styled after a Scottish Baronial Castle. Few hotels in the world rival the majesty, hospitality and grandeur you will experience here. Set within a UNESCO world heritage site and built in the late 1800’s, you’ll really feel like you’re in another world. This afternoon, we enjoy a gondola ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain and experience the amazing panoramic views across the valley and surrounding mountain ranges.

Hotel: Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel (B)

DAY 4 ; BANFF

Today will be special, as we prepare for our second golf round playing the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course. You’ll be captivated from the moment we arrive at the pro shop and it’ll quickly become evident that focusing on scoring is going to be a real challenge. This Stanley Thompson designed classic offers perhaps the most naturally striking location for a golf course anywhere in the world, and nothing can prepare you for the excitement and sheer enormity of its Canadian Rockies backdrop. There are no holes that are anything less than stunning, and once you climb to the elevated tee on the 4th, and look across the glacial lake and down to the Devil’s Cauldron’s punchbowl shaped green you will immediately be struck by what many consider to be the finest par 3 in Canada.

This evening we dine together and raise a glass to our time in beautiful Banff.

Hotel: Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel (B, D)

DAY 5 ; OKANAGAN VALLEY

Another day of incredible landscapes await, as we bid farewell to scenic Banff. We’ll make our way into the province of British Columbia before stopping along the shores of Emerald Lake in the Yoho National Park, for what is sure to be one of the most picturesque picnic lunches any of us have experienced. Following lunch and time to explore the lake, we’ll continue on through Glacier National Park before arriving at Predator Ridge Resort located in the heart of the Okanagan Valley – Known as the fruit basket of western Canada and regarded as Canada’s premier wine growing district.

Hotel: Predator Ridge Resort, Vernon (B)

Day 6 ; OKANAGAN VALLEY

Following breakfast, we play the first of the Predator Ridge Resort’s two famous layouts. The Ridge Course is known internationally for its impressive blend of golf and spectacular scenery. Rolling hills, long grasses and undulating greens make for an unforgettable golfing experience. Golfers will find this course as challenging as it is scenic with views overlooking Lake Okanagan.

This evening we enjoy our first taste of the Okanagan Valley wine region, with a tasting and highlight dinner at the award-winning Gray Monk Estate Winery. Established by the Heiss family in 1972 this beautiful estate is the oldest family-owned and operated winery in the Okanagan Valley. We tour the vineyard with a tasting, before enjoying the company of friends, old and new, over dinner in the estate’s award-winning Grapevine Restaurant.

Hotel: Predator Ridge Resort, Vernon (B, D)

DAY 7 ; OKANAGAN VALLEY

Another great golf experience is waiting for us today, with the original Predator Ridge – Predator Course layout next on our list. Designed by Les Furber and first opened in 1991, the Predator course was re-designed and updated a decade later and is both picturesque and challenging. The 8th is known locally as the “Inland Pebble Beach 18th” and will be a par five to remember.

After time at the 19th and time to refresh after golf, the evening will be yours to relax and enjoy some of Canada’s finest restaurants or perhaps an evening hike to the outlook cabin – a locals’ favourite to take in the sunset with a glass of wine.

Hotel: Predator Ridge Resort, Vernon (B)

Day 8 ; OKANAGAN VALLEY

This morning, we take a short transfer to Kelowna for our round at The Harvest Golf Club. Established in 1994 and designed by Graham Cooke, this par 72 is known as a locals’ favourite. With stunning views over Lake Okanagan, the layout winds its way through neighbouring orchards and vineyards. With five varieties of apples and three varieties of grapes, it holds its harvest name for good reason. Afterward, a refreshing glass of one of the Okanagan Valley’s award winning whites at the 19th is almost compulsory.

Hotel: Predator Ridge Resort, Vernon (B)

DAY 9 ; WHISTLER

After breakfast, we make our way to the alpine village of Whistler with a very scenic drive along the Duffy Lake Road and through historic farming towns. Located in the coastal mountains, Whistler enjoys prestige for hosting the 2010 Winter Olympics and offers a fantastic atmosphere all year round.

Staying at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, this evening will be yours to get comfortable and experience one of the many world-class restaurants in the village.

Hotel: Fairmont Chateau Whistler (B)

DAY 10 ; WHISTLER

After breakfast in the magnificent Wildflower Restaurant, we make our way to the Whistler Village gondola where we ride to the summit of Whistler mountain and board the Peak to Peak gondola. The Peak to Peak takes us high above the clouds and valley below and links the summits of Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Mountain. Here, we’ll enjoy the incredible panoramic views across the valley whilst taking in the surrounding Garibaldi mountain range. This afternoon we enjoy a round at the Nicklaus North Golf Course. Your surroundings include a brilliant emerald-coloured lake, majestic fir trees and fresh, invigorating mountain air. Located only minutes from the cobblestone walkways and street-side cafes of Whistler, Nicklaus North is regarded as one of the great courses in North America.

Hotel: Fairmont Chateau Whistler (B)

DAY 11 ; WHISTLER

This morning’s round is at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club. Carved out of the coast mountain range with elevation changes of more than 400-feet, the course provides a unique challenge whilst maintaining its reputation for fun! Designer Robert Trent Jones Jr has allowed nature to dictate the path traversing creeks, ponds, stands of ancient Douglas Fir and granite rock faces. The course is home to a variety of wildlife including black bear and deer. Ensure your camera is in your golf bag as most of last year’s touring party were lucky enough to get photos of the majestic black bears.

This afternoon will be yours to enjoy in beautiful Whistler Blackcomb.

Hotel: Fairmont Chateau Whistler (B)

DAY 12 ; VICTORIA

Enjoy breakfast, before heading south along the Sea to Sky Highway which follows Howe Sound. We stop at the impressive Shannon Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in British Columbia. We then board a ferry and cruise through the Georgia Strait to Vancouver Island. After a stop in the unique town of Duncan to view some of the traditional First Nation Totem Pole Art that lines the downtown area. We then continue on to the historic capital city of Victoria and our next stop at the Fairmont Empress Hotel.

Victoria is a stunning city with historical buildings and world-famous flower gardens. This afternoon will be yours to get settled and explore Victoria.

Hotel: Fairmont Empress Hotel, Victoria (B)

DAY 13 ; VICTORIA

Today, our next golf round is at the Olympic View Golf Club. The layout makes fantastic use of its location surrounded by the magnificence of the Olympic Mountains, the roar of two spectacular waterfalls, and the tranquility of twelve lakes. The 17th, with its Chinese island garden and 60-foot waterfalls behind the green, is one of the most picturesque backdrops to any golf hole in the world.

Following our round, the afternoon will be at leisure to enjoy one of many fantastic restaurants surrounding our hotel.

Hotel: Fairmont Empress Hotel, Victoria (B)

DAY 14 ; VANCOUVER

Today, enjoy the final round of the tour at Westin Bear Mountain Course. Set in the foothills of Mount Finlayson and co-designed by Jack Nicklaus and son Steve, Bear Mountain is widely regarded as one of the finest courses Victoria has to offer. We will take on the valley course today whilst admiring the panoramic mountain, city and ocean views set within rolling fairways and lush forest. Following our round and time to toast our victors at the 19th, we make our way back to our hotel to refresh and spend another evening in magical Victoria.

Hotel: Fairmont Empress Hotel, Victoria (B)

DAY 15 ; VANCOUVER

Today, we’ll tour the world-famous Butchart Gardens, a 22-hectare showcase of magnificent colourful gardens. We then board our ferry to Vancouver where we’ll tour some of the city’s highlights including Gastown, Stanley Park, the waterfront and Chinatown. This evening will be yours to explore this fantastic city and discover for yourself why it has been voted one of the world’s most liveable cities.

Hotel: Fairmont Hotel, Vancouver (B)

DAY 16 ; VANCOUVER

After some time to explore the city this morning, we’ll set off to tour the Capilano Suspension Bridge, the world’s longest suspension foot bridge, and experience the ‘Treetops Adventure’ forest canopy walkway. We’ll take the famous Grouse Mountain Sky Ride above the Douglas Firs and enjoy breathtaking views of the city, sparkling Pacific Ocean, Gulf Islands and snowy peaks. At the top of Grouse Mountain see grizzly bears in the refuge for endangered wildlife, traditional Lumberjack and mesmerising ‘birds in motion’ demonstrations.

A fitting finale to celebrate our victors and relive the memories of this wonderful tour is our presentation dinner on Grouse Mountain, with the glittering cityscape playing the perfect backdrop.

Hotel: Fairmont Hotel, Vancouver (B, D)

DAY 17 ; HOME

After a hearty breakfast, this morning we’ll bid farewell to beautiful Canada. Many will be lucky enough to stay on in Vancouver, preparing to set off on our post tour Alaska cruise. Those departing this morning will be transferred to Vancouver Airport to start the journey home or continue on to their next destination. (B)
